MEET THE ARTIST
Ellen Graduated from Dominican University in 2017 with a bachelors degree in graphic design. Since then she has been working full time as a graphic designer at a publishing firm in the Chicago Loop. There, she lays out various industry magazines, creates digital and print ads and is beginning to dip her toes into creating interactive designs as the company begins to move digital.
Outside of her normal work hours, Ellen likes to explore other avenues of the art world. She thoroughly enjoys any opportunity to paint various subjects using acrylics, oil paints or even watercolors. In addition to painting, she spends her time creating logos for clients, illustrating books and designing cards for various occasions.
Outside of throwing herself completely into her art, you are likely to find Ellen cheering on her favorite Chicago teams, (the Hawks and Cubs) eating at any of the seemingly infinite number of restaurants the city has to offer, or binge watching throwback episodes of SNL (season 27 had one of the best casts.)
What motivates Ellen most are the people she is lucky enough to have in her life as well as the relationships she is able to build through her artwork.
